In Milwaukee when Keith Walendowski woke up that morning, he wanted to mow his lawn. But his Lawn Boy lawn mower wouldn’t start. Pissed off, Mr. Walendowski shot the lawn mower with a sawed-off shotgun.

Bad news for Mr. Walendowski…the lawn mower repair shop stated that he just voided the warranty by his impulsive act.

More bad news for Mr. Walendowski…sawed-off shotguns are illegal. He was arrested and charged with felony possession of a short-barreled shotgun or rifle and misdemeanor disorderly conduct while armed. He could get up to an $11,000 fine and six years and three months in prison if convicted.

The long journey of Chocolate ends happily. Chocolate is the Chesapeake Bay Retriever found with two broken legs in Washington State back in February.

After 3 surgeries and 5 months of rehabilitation, Chocolate was released back to Meadow Hills Veterinary Center where a family has been chosen as Chocolate’s furever home. A couple in Pasco Washington who already own two special needs dogs. The identity of the family will remain confidential and Chocolate will retire to his new home without any fanfare, lights, cameras, or action. Since February I have been following the adventures of Chocolate. Am wishing Chocolate and his adoptive family the very best.
